Dr. Joanne Mo, DO, is a board-certified family medicine physician dedicated to providing whole-person, root-cause care for patients with complex and often misunderstood conditions. Grounded in her osteopathic training, she approaches medicine with the belief that each person is an integrated unit of mind, body, and spirit, deserving of care that honors their unique history and biology.

Dr. Mo leads a trauma-informed practice with specialized experience in somatic-centered medicine. By integrating polyvagal theory and mind-body approaches, she addresses the nervous system dysregulation frequently associated with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). She is particularly passionate about supporting individuals with ADHD—with a focus on the unique needs of women—as well as those navigating complex PTSD (cPTSD) and the experiences of highly sensitive persons (HSP).

Her clinical approach is deeply collaborative and culturally sensitive, prioritizing shared decision-making and patient education. Experienced in managing multisystemic chronic illnesses and coordinating specialty care, Dr. Mo serves as a dedicated advocate for patients who have previously felt dismissed by the healthcare system. She is proficient in telehealth, ensuring her expertise is accessible to patients throughout California.

Patients consistently describe Dr. Mo as a physician who truly listens, follows through, and treats every individual as a person rather than a diagnosis.
