Gillian Aitken, DNP

Gillian Aitken DNP, brings over a decade of experience in healthcare, specializing in the evaluation and management of patients with genetic disorders, rare metabolic conditions, and complex, multisystem health conditions. Her clinical experience includes working with individuals with a broad range of genetic and rare diseases, including Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS). She is passionate about providing thoughtful, individualized care to patients whose health needs often require a deeper level of evaluation and expertise.

Gillian’s clinical approach emphasizes comprehensive evaluation and thoughtful diagnostic workup. She orders and interprets genetic and diagnostic testing to help identify underlying conditions, clarify diagnoses, and guide treatment and ongoing management. She takes the time to understand each patient’s unique health history and works collaboratively with them to develop individualized care plans.

Gillian earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice and Master of Science in Nursing from Duke University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University. She is passionate about improving access to specialized care for patients with complex genetic conditions and brings her background in genetics and rare diseases to The EDS Clinic. She is committed to providing knowledgeable, compassionate care and helping patients feel heard and supported as they navigate their health.
