Colleen Folkers is a board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner with more than 20 years of nursing experience, including over a decade in advanced practice. She brings a broad background in caring for adults with complex medical needs to The EDS Clinic, where comprehensive assessment, ongoing support, and collaboration are central to caring for patients with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and related conditions.

Her experience spans hepatology, oncology, primary care, and walk-in care, including nearly 13 years at Rush University Medical Center. Working across these specialties has given Colleen experience evaluating complicated health histories, managing chronic conditions, and helping patients understand their diagnoses and treatment options. This background informs her approach to patients whose symptoms and care needs span multiple areas of medicine.

Colleen earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Loyola University Chicago and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Bradley University. She is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and brings a collaborative, education-focused approach to helping patients navigate complex chronic illness.
